There is no entitlement for any family holiday or leave of absence and the Headteacher will only consider the request in exceptional circumstances. I am writing to make you aware that one focus of USH this year, is better use of mobile devices and online services. As part of our initiatives, we are officially launching Google Classroom starting in January. Our students have already been trained on using the system and it has been trialled school-wide for the past 3 months.

As I am sure you are aware, your son/daughter is currently studying ‘Romeo and Juliet’ in English and has been given a Shoebox Theatre project to complete for homework. Students have been asked to create a theatre from a shoebox that shows an aspect of Elizabethan life; this links into the social and historical context of the play.
