The pastoral system at USH is based on a family of four Houses: Aviators, Engineers, Mariners and Venturers. Each House is led by a Lead Tutor, supported by a team of tutors who together create a sense of belonging and encourage healthy competition. Our collective focus is to ensure students are ready to learn and that they make excellent academic progress. Our key responsibility is to track each student to ensure all achieve whilst enjoying a safe, happy and characterful education.
Aviators are innovators of their own future, we work together as a cohesive team to support and develop potential.
What does an Aviator look like?
Aviator students seek challenge within themselves and inspire others, they demonstrate our core principles of pride, teamwork and support. Aviator students exercise their creative instincts.
